Greetings...

Well, my "kid" left on Wednesday and the fact that I did "ok" tel= ls
me it really hasn't hit me yet since Flypup is still here, Flyboy
is home for a week, and I haven't been alone long enough to really
think about it...

On another note, "Hell" has arrived in Arizona and although we have=
officially entered our Monsoon season, we haven't had one drop of
rain and need it badly. Arizonans must be the only people on Earth

Periodically, I will be flipping channels and will inevitably stop
on a channel that has a story about hoarders. These are people that
have hoarded so much "stuff" in their homes over the years that they=
not only can no longer live in their homes normally, but have health
risks associated with the piling up of things and never cleaning the
home they live in...

I realize the "experts" tell us these people suffer from a disorder=
and maybe they do, but I'm sick of crazy behavior always having a
label instead of calling it what it is...

Crazy behavior...

I realize there will be those who take issue at my non-chalance at
a "disorder" and frankly, I can't help it because everything that
people do today is labeled to make them feel better about being
goofy rather than hearing that they ARE goofy...

The problem giving a label or "excuse" for bad or extreme behavior is=
that it takes away from those who are in need of real help. It's
almost like a "cry wolf" situation with so many having issues that th= e
real ones are ignored...

There was a rash of children diagnosed with ADD and hyperactivity, which =
also caused a gross amount of Ritalin being prescribed. I refuse to belie= ve
that many kids from the 80's to now developed these disorders to the
extent they were being prescribed this drug in almost every doctor's
office around the country...

Disorder or a lack of discipline? Disorder or a lack of attention from
= overworked parents? Disorder or children screaming at the top of their
= lungs for help, the non-medical, non-prescription type help?

So now, hoarders are the new "disorder" getting the attention. Oprah = did
a piece on it, and there's a reality show with hoarders as the "stars= "...

Disorder or laziness? Disorder or selfishness?

You make the call and for those who will inevitably write in and tell me=
they have a child or know a child with a real disorder, or a family of
= hoarders, take a step away from the computer and re-read the thought
behind what I wrote...

And,before I go, I want to wish all of the Yanks a happy 4th of July
weekend. Be safe while partaking of our country's birthday and take
a step back and say a little prayer for our country. She has had a rough=
ride the past "few" years and by few, I mean many more than one so do= n't
turn this into a political argument. Let's hope there is a way to get
= her back to a time when we were all proud and loved by every other
country who admired and respected everything we stood for...
