Greetings...
Occasionally, I will cover a topic that needs a follow-up because I
couldn't include it in the previous column due to the length of the
column...
This is one of those occasions and since Monday, additional events
regarding the proposed Islamic Cultural Center make it impossible
for me to not finish my thoughts and maybe, just maybe, make one person
filled with hate take a step back and THINK!!!
The Muslim center, at 45 Park Place, New York City has been there
for years and years. How long? Would it suprise you to know it has
been there BEFORE the World Trade Center was even opened?
The proposed remodel of the 13-story building will have a basketball court,
a multi-cultural meeting room, and for all those Hummus loving terrorists,
a Culinary school...
After Monday's column, I was asked what I thought about the proposed
Cultural Center blocks away from Ground Zero. At one time, I had a
little pang of "They have the right, but maybe a little sensitivity
would be in order"...
That was then, this is NOW...
This week alone, there have been over 12 attacks on Muslims, their
Mosques, and construction sites where a mosques are going to be built.
NONE of these were near ground Zero, a mile away from Ground Zero,
or even in New York. These acts of domestic terrorism and yes, that
is what it is, have happened in several states from California to Tennessee.
Demonstrations are taking place anywhere a Mosque is going to be built
or already has been built. Solidarity for their New York brethren?
There was an attack in New York. A cab driver had his neck slashed
by a passenger after engaging in a pleasant conversation until the
passenger asked the cabbie if he was a Muslim, when he said, "yes",
the lunatic lunged over the seat and sliced his neck with a knife...
Should the cabbie have had to lie about being a Muslim? Will the armbands
with a Jewish star of Nazi Germany identifying Jews be replaced with an
armband of a crescent and a moon for Muslims in a country that has
always prided itself in fighting for the rights of its citizens? I said
it on Monday and will say it again...
We haven't learned a thing...
I don't recall any of the news stations telling us what religious
background the attacker was or the religious background of any of the
terrorists that have been attacking Muslims and instilling fear in their
communities...
Then again, I don't ever hear the religious background of the thousands
of criminals that are arrested in the U.S. for crimes on a daily basis,
unless of course, they are a Muslim. We always know when it's one of
"them"...
Wake up people! If people are truly outraged at a Mosque being built near
Ground Zero and spout the BS rhetotic of "they have a right, just not
there", then "there" really means in their state, their neighborhood, their
relative's neighborhood, yada, yada, yada, If this isn't a case of organized
hatred and bigotry, then what is it? How can anyone defend the wackos
demonstrating when their true agenda is to insight violence all across
the country???
George Bush went into a bogus war telling us plenty of things that proved
to be untrue, he also told us the reason we needed to put our troops in harm's
way was we needed to go and free those poor Iraqi's from Sadaam Hussein's
tyranny. The poor Iraqi's deserved freedom, rights, and our support. The
ones that supported him lock, stock and barrel must have forgotten something...
Helloooooooooooooooo, 99.999% of the Iraqi people are...MUSLIM...
We "helped" these poor people lose their lives in the name of freedom
and now want them to lose their rights and possibly their lives
in a place that is supposed to fight for their rights and protect them...
Politically this is also a very dangerous thing the goofballs running
around rallying the mobs are engaging in...
Our men and women are overseas in the Middle East working side by side
with MUSLIMS. The actions of more and more Americans are jeopardizing
their lives. I'm not over-reacting...
Do you not think terrorists, looking for recruits, won't have an easy time
getting them to line up when they show the treatment of Muslims in the
United States? If you believe they are all living in caves, believe those
caves have Satellite and Internet...
Stop blaming Osama Bin Laden and blame Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, Hannity
and all those big mouths who can and will say anything they want for
their own agenda and then when called on it, become wimps who say...
We are entertainers...They should be tried for treason, they are dangerous
and not only dividing the country, but putting it in danger by virtue of
their serpent's tongues...
There are laws against hate crimes...whoopdy doo, law enforcement isn't
going to be able to stop what is happening, it is up to US, Americans
who may not like "them", may not agree with "them", but if we do not stand
up and speak up, we won't have to worry about any of it, civil rights
will slowly be taken away, and I'm talking OURS because the one thing
government is good at is taking things away from us "for our own good"...
Today it is the Muslims, "yesterday" it was the Jews, tomorrow it may be
whatever religious persuasian you happen to be. You better hope the mob
is with you and not against you, and depending on popularity, we're all
in jeopardy allowing others manipulate the "sheeple" with their agendas
of hatred and bigotry...
So what is my final answer on the Cultural Center in New York?
Welcome and God Bless people, to deny this will only give power to those
who have started the wave to ban Mosques and Muslims from every city in
America...
I'll never support racial hatred and bigotry. If you do, then have the
guts to call it as it is and not come up with a phoney baloney excuse
that is opening the door for more violence and hate...
I gotta hand it to one group of people who have never engaged in wars
or acts of violence in the name of any religion, then again, that group
would be...
Atheists...
Before I go I'd like to wish my baby sister Anisa a very happy birthday.
For who she is and all she does, the world is truly a better place with
her in it and for those of us lucky enough to have her in our lives...
