Here's the Scoop...
I was sad to hear about the untimely death of actor Anton Yelchin. You may not recognize his name, but he had quite a body of work for being as young as he was. Most people remember him as Chekov in the 'Star Trek' reboots.
I think I first saw him in the Mel Gibson/Jodie Foster movie 'The Beaver'. Jennifer Lawrence was in that too.
Two movies that he recently starred in, 'Burying the Ex' and 'Odd Thomas', were quite entertaining and he was very good in both.
The one movie that I believe to be his best was 'Hearts in Atlantis'. It's an adaption of a Stephen King novel and also starred Sir Anthony Hopkins. Yelchin was just a kid in that movie and showed that he had the acting chops to hold scene after scene with such distinguished talent as Hopkins. It's a great movie, very underrated. If you're a fan of Yelchin, Hopkins or Stephen King, you must check it out.
Such a great actor. Such a talent. Such a terrible loss.
Be Well,
Steve

Star Trek's Anton Yelchin, 27, dies in auto crash
Actor Anton Yelchin, who played Chekov in Star Trek movies, was killed early Sunday morning after getting pinned by his car at his Studio City, Calif., home.
Yelchin also acted in Like Crazy and Alpha Dog, and was the voice of Clumsy Smurf in The Smurfs.
When he didn't show up hours earlier for a rehearsal, Yelchin's friends went to his homearound 1 a.m. and found him pinned between his car and a brick mailbox pillar attached to a security gate, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The engine was running and the car was in neutral, police said.
The driveway was on a fairly steep incline.
"It appears that he momentarily left his car, leaving it in the driveway. He was behind the vehicle when it rolled backward and pinned him to the brick pillar causing the trauma that led to his death," Jennifer Houser with the Los Angeles Police Department told CNN.
The actor plays main character Spock in the films, including the sequel Star Trek Beyond, which has already completed production and is set for release next month.
"I had dinner with Anton Yelchin 2 nights ago we talked about shooting together and making movies he is a great guy very sad to see him go," screenwriter Tyler Shields said on Twitter.
When he was 6 months old, Yelchin moved to the United States with his parents, Irina Korina and Viktor Yelchin, who were stars of the Leningrad Ice Ballet.

Leonardo DiCaprio to testify in "Wolf of Wall Street" defamation suit
A judge has ordered acting superstar Leonardo DiCaprio to testify in a case against the The Wolf of Wall Street after a man filed suit claiming the 2013 movie defamed him.
Andrew Greene, former executive of the stock brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont, is seeking $25 million in damages in the case he filed against Paramount Pictures. He also named other producers in his lawsuit.
The suit contends that the movie, through the character Nicky Koskoff, wrongfully depicts him as a "criminal, a drug user and a degenerate," CNN reported.
The judge required DiCaprio to testify after Green's lawyers tried several times to depose him, but were told he was "too busy," The Guardian reported.
The defendants' attorneys argued unsuccessfully that the testimonies of director Martin Scorsese and screenwriter Terence Winter should have sufficed.
Judge Steven Locke ordered DiCaprio to testify "at a reasonable time and place agreed to by the parties."
Green was a childhood friend of the film's main character, Jordan Belfort. Also a former colleague of Belfort's Green contends that Nicky "Rugrat" Koskoff is loosely based on him. He claims the movie mocked his hairpiece and depicted him as a drug user.
