Justin Theroux's publicist has confirmed the Hollywood actor and screenwriter is engaged to actress Jennifer Aniston, his girlfriend of more than a year.

"Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage," his representative said.

Former "Friends" star Aniston was previously married to actor Brad Pitt, who is now with fiancee Angelina Jolie.

Theroux, who co-starred with Aniston in the big-screen comedy "Wanderlust," broke up with Heidi Bivens, his girlfriend of 14 years, in 2011.

Seth Rogen, wife, get restraining order
A Los Angeles judge granted actor Seth Rogen a restraining order against a reputed stalker who allegedly tried to get into his home. Rogen and his wife, Lauren Miller, asked for the order after Yasin Ajani, 30, allegedly tried to gain access to the couple's residence on two occasions by claiming he was delivering a package. Miller said in her court petition she had been seriously unnerved by the incidents. "I live in fear that he will return," Miller wrote. "I have difficulty sleeping and look for (Ajani) whenever I come and go from my house."

Jennifer Lopez accuses driver of blackmail
Jennifer Lopez says her former driver resorted to blackmail after the singer didn't use a security team he recommended for a music video shoot. In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles last week, Lopez, her manager and her production company allege that an attorney representing driver Hakob Manoukian demanded that "unless Manoukian was paid $2.8 million, he would disclose sensitive and personal information that he allegedly heard while driving Lopez." Lopez is seeking a minimum of $20 million in damages.

Murray visited by fake Jackson surrogate
The doctor convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Michael Jackson's death said he fears for his safety after a stranger visited him in a California jail. An unidentified woman posing as the mother of Jackson's children visited Dr. Conrad Murray Thursday at the Los Angeles county jail where he is serving a four-year sentence. The woman told Conrad she flew in from Nevada just to visit him, but he said he did not know who she was. "I've seen you before and you've probably seen me before. I'm the mother of Michael Jackson's kids," the woman allegedly told Murray. Murray's attorney Valerie Wazz said they are concerned about a recent change in the jail's visitor policy that allows visitors to sign up online without verifying their identity. "I have serious concerns about the security. My client was horror-stricken by the fact that a complete stranger could get in to see him."

Anderson Cooper's next set of tough questions could be reserved for his long-term boyfriend Ben Maisani after pictures of him surfaced kissing another man. Maisani, 39, was spotted in a close embrace with a dark-haired, muscular man in a New York park. The images may come as a surprise to the CNN news anchor after it was reported last month that he wanted to marry his partner as soon as Labor Day.
