Here's the Scoop...

Anisa will be out for the next two issues, so she asked me, Steve, to talk over Celebrity Nooz until her return. It took a lot of convincing, but how can you say "No" to Mountain Dew and a weeks worth of Slim Jims?

And now back to the Nooz! Did you hear about who will voice Batgirl in 'Lego Batman' movie? Did you know that there was going to be a 'Lego Batman' movie? Were you aware that Batman comes in Lego form?

I didn't know any of this...and that's why it's news to me!

Be Well,
Steve

Angelina Jolie: Surgery made me feel connected to other women
Angelina Jolie-Pitt said she felt closer to other women after undergoing two major surgeries removing her breasts, ovaries and fallopian tubes to prevent cancer.

Speaking with Vogue for its November issue, the By The Sea director said she can't wait to turn 50 without a cancer scare. Since revealing both her mother and grandmother died of ovarian cancer, Jolie has remained transparent with the public about her health advocacy.

"It really connected me to other women," Jolie said of her decision to publish op-eds in the New York Times -- her most recent in March -- about her health and surgeries. "I wish my mom had been able to make those choices."

The 40-year-old actress and wife to Brad Pitt said the procedures, which removed most of her female organs, were "brutal." She recounted the hormonal changes she experienced after having her ovaries removed -- a direct result of the surgery is early onset menopause.

"We did joke that I had my Monday edit. Tuesday surgery. Wednesday go into menopause. Thursday come back to edit, a little funky with my steps," she said of completing her upcoming film By The Sea, which she wrote, directed and starred in opposite her husband.

After menopause, though, the mother of six feels "grounded as a woman. I know others do, too. Both of the women in my family, my mother and my grandmother, started dying in their 40s. I'm 40. I can't wait to hit 50 and know I made it."

Olivia Wilde got 'hammered' on 'Drinking Buddies' set
Olivia Wilde and her co-stars got drunk on the Drinking Buddies set because the movie used real beer for their scenes.

The 31-year-old actress recalled as much in an interview for an upcoming episode of Off Camera with Sam Jones. Wilde, Anna Kendrick, Jake Johnson and Ron Livingston filmed the 2013 movie at an actual Chicago, Ill., brewery in 2012.

"We were hammered the entire movie because it was real beer, because beer on that set was cheaper than water," Wilde told Jones. "[Anna] is [tiny] and she sat down to do the first scene and took a huge gulp of beer, not realizing it was real, and was instantly hammered."

"She was like, 'What's happening? What are you guys doing?'" she related. "And we were like, 'Oh, we forgot to tell you -- the beer's real and everyone's drunk. It's 10 a.m., welcome to Drinking Buddies.'"

Kendrick herself spoke to Vulture about the film in 2013, saying, "I was horrified by the idea that I was going to be the next troublesome star who got drunk and started flipping over tables or whatever. I just tried to sit quietly until I sobered up."

Which actress will voice Batgirl in 'Lego Batman'?

Rosario Dawson will voice Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl, in the forthcoming, animated Warner Bros. film. The project is a spinoff of The Lego Movie (2014), which starred Chris Pratt as Emmet.

Arnett, who voiced Batman in the first film, will reprise the DC Comics superhero, with Michael Cera as Robin and Zach Galifianakis as the Joker. Seth Grahame-Smith wrote the script, and The Lego Movie animation supervisor Chris McKay will serve as director.

Dawson previously voiced Wonder Woman in the animated movie Justice League: Throne of Atlantis and Artemis in Wonder Woman. She plays Claire Temple in the Marvel/Netflix series Daredevil, and will also portray the character on Luke Cage.

The Lego Movie premiered in February 2014, and earned over $468 million at the box office. Warner Bros. will release a sequel May 18, 2018, and two other spinoff films are in the works. Lego Batman will open in theaters Feb. 10, 2017.
