Football players aren't the only stars recovering from injuries in time for the Super Bowl next month - Madonna has revealed she too is among the walking wounded as she prepares to perform at half-time.
The pop superstar has revealed she has leg and nose injuries as she rehearses for one of the biggest performances of her career.
At the New York premiere of her directorial debut, "W.E." the 53 year old comments, "I have a pulled hamstring and I have a little red dot on my nose where I wounded myself with my microphone."
But the show must go on for the Material Girl, who insists she'll be in tip-top form for the big gig on February 5 in Indianapolis, Ind.
She adds, "I'm going to dance and sing my butt off for the Super Bowl. I'm working so hard on it."
Madonna isn't revealing any details about the 12-minute spectacular, but says there will be a "very special guest" joining her onstage.

Demi Moore enters treatment facility after hospitalization...
Demi Moore has entered a treatment facility for exhaustion and health issues.
The actress was reportedly hospitalized on Monday night after paramedics were called to her Los Angeles home, and now she is seeking "further professional assistance," according to reports.
It is not clear why the star, who recently split from husband Ashton Kutcher, was taken to hospital, but her representative states, "Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."
Demi�s representative has reportedly confirmed that the actress has pulled out of her upcoming role of feminist Gloria Steinem in director Rob Epstein's film about porn star Lovelace to concentrate on her recovery.
Pamela Anderson ends Las Vegas property war...
Pamela Anderson has settled her legal spat with a Las Vegas realtor after he sued her for failing to honor an alleged agreement to help him promote a condominium development.
Real estate mogul Laurence Hallier sued the actress for $22.5 million last year, claiming she agreed to help him sell homes in the exclusive Panorama Towers and then failed to show for promotional appearances.
Pamela countersued Hallier, alleging he had promised to give her a free condo in exchange for her services, but refused as a result of her alleged breach of agreement.
But, according to reports, the matter has been settled out of court. The terms of the agreement are confidential.

Jeremy London Charged with Spousal Abuse...
Actor Jeremy London was charged with spousal battery stemming from a November incident in which he allegedly roughed up his estranged wife during an argument about their 5-year-old son in Palm Springs.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, the incident erupted after Melissa Cunningham objected to London's taking their son to breakfast, saying that the son didn't wish to go.
London then allegedly pulled Melissa's hair, the papers say, and he struck her on the side of the head.
In light of the charges, a rep for the 39-year-old London said in a statement: "The allegation for which this charge against Jeremy London is being filed is false and no such abuse occurred. The facts regarding the incident do not warrant this case moving forward and will prove to be a waste of resources by the DA's office. Jeremy continues to be focused on his work and looks forward to clearing his name of this allegation."
London, whose struggles with addictions were chronicled on VH1's Celebrity Rehab, made headlines in 2010 when he was kidnapped at gunpoint and forced to use drugs. One of his kidnappers in the bizarre abduction eventually pleaded guilty.
Berry Interviewed By LAPD After Nanny Claims Gabriel Pushed Her...
Halle Berry has been formally interviewed by the the LAPD after her nanny claimed that the Academy Award winning actresses' ex-boyfriend, and baby daddy, Gabriel Aubry, pushed her while she was holding their daughter, Nahla.
As previously reported, the nanny says that last Wednesday she went to pick Nahla up at school and she wasn't there, so she went to Gabriel's home.
"Gabriel and the nanny got into an argument because no one alerted her that Nahla didn't go to school," a source explains.
The source went on to claim that Aubry allegedly verbally abused the nanny, before things took a turn for the physical.
"She picked up Nahla to leave and Gabriel yelled at her and shoved her out the door so hard that she hit the wall -- while she had Nahla in her arms!" the source alleges, adding that the nanny claims the abuse is ongoing. The nanny filed a police report and Aubry is now being investigated for misdemeanor battery and child endangerment.
"Investigators interviewed Halle for about an hour. Even though she wasn't a witness to the event that occurred with the nanny and Gabriel, she has a very strong narrative about what the nanny had told her had been occurring over the past several months, a source close to the situation says. "Halle wanted law enforcement to have all relevant information. There is absolutely no love lost between Halle and Gabriel."
Aubry has denied that he touched the nanny, and claims she tripped while holding Nahla. "Why in the world would Gabriel push the nanny causing her to fall while she was holding his daughter?" a source close to the situation asks.

It's Joan Rivers...
Joan and her daughter Melissa Rivers' left their Manhattan apartment and stepped into a limousine to travel to an appearance on "Good Morning America" to promote the upcoming second season of their TV show "Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?"
However, just moments after their car pulled away, a manhole cover blew up and flew through the air.
Joan confirmed the incident, saying, "We could have had our premiere and the finale on the same day."
