Kristin Cavallari reveals son Jax's struggle with colic

Kristin Cavallari has revealed son Jax struggles with colic. The 27-year-old television personality opened up about her six-month-old baby to the Daily Mail last week. Cavallari and husband Jay Cutler are also parents to two-year-old son Camden, and their experience with Jax has proved to be a bit more demanding.
"They always say the second one is harder and that's very true," she admitted. "I was very colicky as a baby, so I guess Jax is a lot like me. Jax is a little bit more difficult. But he is still the sweetest and the best. So, it's fine. Baby colic is defined as episodes of crying in excess of three hours a day more than three days a week, for three weeks or more in an otherwise healthy child. There is generally no cause behind the condition, which is treated with calming measures from the parents. Cavallari and Cutler have been together since 2010, and married in June 2013. The couple have made headlines in the past for refusing to vaccinate her children. Cavallari came to fame on MTV series Laguna Beach, and later replaced Lauren Conrad on The Hills. The television personality has since appeared in films such as Spring Breakdown and Wild Cherry, and also designs clothes, shoes and jewelry.

Debra Messing, Will Chase split

Debra Messing and Will Chase have broken up.
The 46-year-old actress and 44-year-old actor were together for two-and-half-years, and the split appears to have been amicable. "Debra Messing and Will Chase have ended their two-and-a-half year relationship but remain close friends," Messing's rep confirmed to Us Weekly. Messing and Chase met on the set of NBC musical drama Smash, and started dating in 2012. Distance is said to have played a role in their breakup, as Messing films The Mysteries of Laura in New York City, and Chase shoots Nashville in Nashville. "It's sad because they really care about each other so much," a source told E! News. "They didn't want this to happen. But at the end of the day, their schedules and the distance truly got to be too much." Messing separated from husband Daniel Zelman in December 2011. The pair have a 10-year-old son named Roman, and the actress filed for divorce in June 2012. Chase was also previously married, and has two daughters with ex-wife Lori Chase. The Mysteries of Laura airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, while Nashville airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.

Amy Poehler recalls 'date' with John Stamos

Amy Poehler and John Stamos went on a maybe-date in 2012.
The 43-year-old actress related the story in an interview with The Howard Stern Show on Monday. Poehler told host Howard Stern she and Stamos had dinner after she separated from husband Will Arnett, but said she "blew" the potentially romantic situation. "I was at a restaurant," she recalled. "We were having dinner and I was like, 'Oh, maybe this is a date,' but I didn't know." "I kind of blew it," she admitted. "I remember thinking like, 'Oh, [expletive]' ... I think I was wearing a Leslie Knope shirt. I think I was wearing a shirt from work." Poehler and Arnett have two children together, Archie and Abel, and separated in September 2012 after nine years of marriage. The actress started dating actor Nick Kroll in early 2013, and told Stern, "I think everything ended up the way it was supposed to end up." Poehler will return as Leslie Knope for a seventh and final season of Parks and Recreation on ABC. The actress is scheduled for The Nest in 2015, and will release her first book, memoir Yes Please, on Tuesday.

Jennifer Aniston's 'Cake' an Oscar contender

Jennifer Aniston's upcoming indie drama Cake is being considered as a contender for the Academy Awards. The film premiered to a standing ovation at the Toronto Film Festival in September sparking speculation that both the flick and Aniston could get Oscar nominations. According to Deadline, the film's producers have decided to release it before the end the year to make it a contender for the 2014 Academy Awards. While speaking at the Toronto Film Festival, the former Friends star said that as she read the script, "I felt myself already shooting it when I was reading it, instantly, it was mine. "It's poetic, it's absolutely beautifully written from top to bottom -- a beautiful arc, exquisite characters." While the film has received mixed reviews on film-rating websites Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic, Aniston's performance has been consistently praised by reviewers, some of which have compared her role to Charlize Theron's career-altering performance in 2003's Monster. "When my life and producing partner Ben Barnz and I first read 'Cake' just fourteen months ago, we knew we had to go to Jennifer Aniston," said the film's director Daniel Barnz. "It was the most obvious un-obvious choice - she's mega-talented, but we've never seen the whole range of her extraordinary comic and dramatic abilities showcased in one role."
