Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Carrie Underwood win American Country Countdown Awards
Luke Bryan was named Artist of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2016 American Country Countdown Awards.

Sam Hunt also took home a pair of prizes from Sunday night's ceremony -- for Breakthrough Male of the Year and Digital Album of the Year.

Carrie Underwood was deemed Female Artist of the Year and Kelsea Ballerini picked up the award for Breakthrough Female of the Year, while Garth Brooks won the title of Touring Artist of the Year, Florida Georgia Line earned the honor for Group/Duo of the Year and Chris Stapleton scored the Album of the Year statuette.

The two-hour TV program featured performances by Kelsea Ballerini, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Chris Janson, Martina McBride, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell and Carrie Underwood. Toby Keith also paid tribute to the late country music icon Merle Haggard.

Among the presenters for the show were Paula Abdul, Chase Bryant, Terry Crews, Cat Deeley, Sara Evans, Trent Harmon, Jana Kramer, Chris Lane, Maddie & Tae, Matthew McConaughey, Scotty McCreery, McEntire, Jennifer Nettles, Michael Ray, Canaan Smith, Luke Wilson and Dwight Yoakam.

The gala aired Sunday night, live on Fox from The Forum in Inglewood, Calif.


'General Hospital,' 'Live with Kelly & Michael' win big at the Daytime Emmy Awards
General Hospital was named Outstanding Drama Series at Sunday's Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

Tyler Christopher, who plays Nikolas on the soap opera, and Bryan Craig, who plays Morgan, took home the prizes for Outstanding Lead Actor and Outstanding Younger Actor respectively. Sean Blakemore, who plays Shawn, won for Outstanding Supporting Actor.

The show was also honored with the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series Directing Team.

Mary Beth Evans, Kayla on Days of Our Lives, earned the accolade of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and her co-star True O'Brien, who plays Paige, won for Outstanding Younger Actress. The Young and the Restless cast member Jessica Collins won for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

The Bold and the Beautiful picked up the Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series for Obba Babatunde and Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team.

The Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host trophy went to Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan for Live! with Kelly and Michael. Strahan announced last month that he is leaving the program for a new job on Good Morning America.

The Talk took the statuette for Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment, Extra was declared Outstanding Entertainment News Program, Dr. Mehmet Oz from The Dr. Oz Show was deemed Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host and The Chew, which is co-hosted by Oz's daughter Daphne, won the Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show/Informative.

Craig Ferguson scored the trophy for Outstanding Game Show Host for Celebrity Name Game and The Price is Right won the Outstanding Game Show gong.

Gaby Natale from SuperLatina with Gaby Natale earned the honor for Outstanding Daytime Talent in a Spanish Language Program and the show won for Outstanding Entertainment Program in Spanish.

Sesame Street icon Sonia Manzano, who played Maria for decades on the pre-school program, accepted a lifetime achievement award. The Daytime Emmys gala was not televised this year.

Gwen Stefani receives Hero Award at 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards
Gwen Stefani received the Hero Award during the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards.

The event which aired Sunday, honors the most popular acts in teen pop music. As Stefani appeared onstage to accept the award from presenter Pharrell, she was greeted by a standing ovation led by her boyfriend, country singer Blake Shelton.

"This is crazy that this is happening to me! I never thought, I mean who am I, that I would ever make a difference?" the singer said during her emotional speech. "I am so honored to be here, I am so honored to be making music."

"I am so blessed to be making music that I can share with you and that I can receive your love back. I am so healed by you!" she continued.

Beforehand on the red carpet, the pop star spoke with Entertainment Tonight about her recently announced summer tour alongside Eve and her latest album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like which was reportedly inspired by her divorce from Gavin Rossdale.

"[I haven't] been on a bus on tour in years!" she said. "I never dreamed I'd have new music. This record came out of the sky. I mean, out of my heart, up and then out. It's like the craziest thing."

"I have this relationship with these people from around the world that I don't know but I know because I feel them," Stefani continued about the tour."Once you go live and you see them and they're singing back to you... it's the greatest thing."

This Is What the Truth Feels Like summer tour begins July 12 in Mansfield, Mass., before concluding Oct. 15 in Los Angeles, Calif.

Which pop star will receive the Billboard Millennium Award?

Britney Spears is to be honored at this month's Billboard Music Awards show.

Spears, 34, is best known for her hit songs "Toxic," "Baby One More Time" and "Oops! I Did it Again."

"The secret is out," the awards show tweeted Monday.

"@britneyspears will receive the Millennium Award & perform her greatest hits at the #BBMAs!"

Ludacris and Ciara are hosting the event on May 22. The gala will air on ABC.
