Actress Jennifer Lawrence fears the reality of "The Hunger Games" is closer than we imagine after watching Kim Kardashian's marriage collapse on TV.
The Oscar nominee leads the cast in the much-anticipated new film, which focuses on a fictional reality TV contest during which kids must fight to the death.
And she insists the premise of the film adaptation of Suzanne Collins' bestseller is not as fantastic as it seems.
She comments, "I was watching the Kardashian girl getting divorced, and that's a tragedy for anyone, but they're using it for entertainment, and we're watching it.
"The books (by Collins) hold up a terrible kind of mirror: This is what our society could be like if we became desensitized to trauma and to each other's pain."

Jessica Alba releasing lifestyle book...
Actress Jessica Alba is to share her healthy lifestyle with fans by releasing an advice book for moms.
The actress has long campaigned for less chemicals in baby products, and she launched a website, Honest.com, earlier this year to let parents know what ingredients and chemicals are used in their child's food, diapers and accessories.
She has now signed a deal to release a book packed with hints for health-conscious parents.
Jessica comments, "It's totally crazy but amazing. I'm not extreme. This book is for people who are in the middle but want to create a healthier life, like me.
"It will be easy and fun and I want it to be really colorful. I'm a crazy foodie. I love doing projects with my kids. Everything in this book will be something meaningful that I've incorporated into our lives. I wanted some kind of handbook with all the information I was consuming so I could apply it in a practical way."
The book will hit shelves next year.
Kutcher heading into space...
Actor Ashton Kutcher is heading into space after landing a seat aboard businessman Richard Brandon's suborbital aircraft.
The "Two and a Half Men" star paid a reported $200,000 for a spot on the Virgin Galactic flight, and Branson couldn't be more excited about training Ashton for the once-in-a lifetime trip.
In a post on his blog, Branson writes, "Our 500th future astronaut customer has just signed up! Even better news is that number 500 is Ashton Kutcher.
"I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him. He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself."
A date for Ashton's expedition has not yet been set as the airline is still in the final stages of an exhaustive safety test program.

Katy Perry and Rrihanna are in no rush to record a girl power duet - because they want to take their time on the project and release an "iconic" collaboration like "Sisters Are Doin' It For Themselves."
The pop star pals have been open about their desire to tackle the charts together, but the "I Kissed A Girl" hitmaker has high hopes for the track and is keen to emulate the success of the Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin's 1985 hit.
Speaking on Britain's Radio 1, she says, "We've collaborated on a lot of things, but just not songs yet. It's one of those things that's got so much build up that we have to deliver.
"I want it to be like that Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin song 'Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves,' not like (Shakira and Beyonce song) 'Beautiful Liar.'
"But I definitely want to do something that is so iconic (Rihanna�s) kind of busy too. We�re both busy but we planted the seed two years ago. How disappointed would you be if that song came out and it�s no good? Sometimes you have to wait for greatness.�
Houston's daughter not engaged...
A representative for Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina has dismissed reports suggesting the teenager is engaged to her "adopted brother."
Family sources have been releasing statements to the media about the teen's alleged romance with Nick Gordon, who Whitney informally adopted when he was 12, with some insiders suggesting the two are planning to wed.
But, despite recent photos and video footage that show Gordon and Bobbi Kristina holding hands and kissing, a rep for the teenager insists there are no marriage plans.
The spokesperson reveals, "Bobbi Kristina is not engaged. It is not true."
Another source tells the website that the ring Bobbi Kristina has started wearing on her wedding finger belonged to her late mother, and is not a gift from Gordon.

The singer is on the cover of the April/May issue of Complex magazine and, in the spread, Justin can be seen sporting a battered face, bloody nose and soiled white tuxedo.
Meanwhile, an alternative cover features a swollen-lipped Justin nursing a black eye with a slab of raw meat and inside, the normally fresh-faced singer is snapped taking a punch to the jaw and spewing a mouthful of blood.
The controversial shoot, which is touted as the publication's 10-year anniversary "knock-out special edition," was reportedly inspired by the pop star's ability to "roll with the punches."
