Adele's 'Skyfall' theme to debut FridayBritish soul singer Adele's theme song for the James Bond movie "Skyfall" is to premiere on her website Friday, Columbia Records said Monday. The track will be available to purchase as a download immediately after its premiere Friday, which marks the 50th anniversary of the release of "Dr. No," the first installment in the iconic secret agent 007 film franchise. After reading the script for the film, Adele enlisted Paul Epworth to co-write and produce the theme song to "Skyfall," the record label said. "I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for 'Skyfall,'" Adele said in a statement. "There's a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song. But I fell in love with the script and Paul had some great ideas for the track and it ended up being a bit of a no brainer to do it in the end. It was also a lot of fun writing to a brief, something I've never done which made itexciting. When we recorded the strings, it was one of the proudest moments of my life. I'll be back combing my hair when I'm 60, telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day, I'm sure!" "Skyfall" the movie will be released in theaters Oct. 26 in the United Kingdom and Nov. 9 in the United States.
Jimmy Kimmel to interview Axl RoseUnpredictable but influential rocker Axl Rose has been booked as a guest on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" in Los Angeles, EW.com reported Monday. The Guns N' Roses singer-songwriter, who rarely gives interviews, is to appear on the late-night chat program Oct. 24 to promote an upcoming 12- night concert series called "Appetite for Democracy" at Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. "Live!" will be his first live broadcast interview in more than two decades, EW.com said. Rose is the only original member of the rock group who still tours under the Guns N' Roses name. He and the current lineup of band members famously declined to participate in the group's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year because Rose doesn't get along with previous G N' R musicians. G N' R was one of the most popular bands of the 1980s and '90s with a string of hits that included "Welcome to the Jungle," "Paradise City," "Sweet Child O' Mine" and "November Rain."

It's Lisa Marie PresleyLisa Marie is getting a taste of her adopted country by selling fish and chips from a parked van in East Sussex, near the $14.5-million home she shares with husband Michael Lockwood and her children, reports the U.K.'s Daily Mail. But Presley shouldn't look forward to a career in the food biz. Asked if she would consider hiring the 44-year-old American, Scales replied lightheartedly: "No way! She got the fish all upside down and was totally cack-handed" â?? which one British-American dictionary defines as 'awkward.'
