Now that the Oscars are over we can talk about some of the stories happening around Hollywood that, in my opinion, are way more important than the "look at me" pageant that aired Sunday night. And there's also 'Dancing with the Stars' news. I've got it all covered!

I'm still in shock from the news about Bill Paxton. I just heard an interview he did with Comedian Marc Maron on his WTF Podcast. He was great. He was very humble about his very successful career and was looking forward to future projects including the TV series 'Training Day' which was in production. I still can't believe he's gone. He was one of the good ones.

If you get a chance seek out the following Bill Paxton films that he has starred in or has directed, or both - One False Move, Near Dark, Aliens, Weird Science, Frailty, A Simple Plan, Trespass, Tombstone, Apollo 13, Twister, and Navy Seals, just to name a few.

Bill, you may be gone, but you'll never be forgotten. Thanks to your amazing body of work it'll never be game over, man!

'Twister' and 'Titanic' star Bill Paxton dead at 61
Well-known actor Bill Paxton has died at the age of 61, his family confirmed to ABC News Sunday.

The Texas native was famous for his work in the films Weird Science, True Lies, Aliens, Titanic, Twister, Apollo 13 and 2 Guns. He also appeared in the TV series Big Love, Hatfields & McCoys, Agents of Shield and Training Day.

"It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery," his family said in a statement. "A loving husband and father, Bill began his career in Hollywood working on films in the art department and went on to have an illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor and filmmaker. Bill's passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable. We ask to please respect the family's wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their adored husband and father."

TMZ, which also confirmed the actor's death, said he has been married to Louise Newbury for 30 years and has two children.


Ron Perlman calls Bill Paxton's death a 'gut punch;' other celebs react
Countless celebrities took to social media Sunday morning to express their shock and grief over the weekend death of Bill Paxton.

Paxton's family confirmed Sunday the Weird Science, Twister, Titanic and Aliens star died at the age of 61 from complications from surgery.

His fellow character actor Ron Perlman quickly reacted to the news on Twitter, posting a recent photo of them.

"This picture was taken 2 months ago. As you can see, Bill was alive as alive can be. Losing him is a gut punch. Unprocessable. Rest easy b..," Perlman tweeted.

"Bill Paxton was, simply, a wonderful man. A wonderful man... Hanx," Tom Hanks said.

"I am stunned & saddened at the passing of Bill Paxton. I just worked with him recently. A warm and beautiful soul and a talented actor. RIP," wrote Lou Diamond Phillips.

"I always knew you were an angel, Bill. Heaven just got a lot more fun with you in residence. Love you always... #RIP #BillPaxton," offered Gale Anne Hurd.

"Saddened by the shocking loss of Bill Paxton. The greatest guy & wonderful actor. His enthusiasm and passion was infectious. See his films!" urged Ralph Macchio.

"Just heard the so so sad news about my pal #BillPaxton. So talented, special and the sweetest guy you'd ever want to meet. RIP my friend," said Paul Reiser.

Judge Joseph Wapner of 'People's Court' fame dead at 97
Retired judge and beloved, television personality Joseph A. Wapner has died at his home in Los Angeles. He was 97.

Gabriel Wapner, the judge's grandson, confirmed the death to The Washington Post Sunday.

The elder Wapner presided over the syndicated series The People's Court 1981-93.

TMZ reported the judge was hospitalized last week with breathing problems. His condition worsened and he returned home Friday under hospice care, dying Sunday morning.

He is survived by Mickey, his wife of 70 years. They are the parents of three children.


Bob Harper of 'Biggest Loser' says he had heart attack
Fitness guru Bob Harper says he had a heart attack this month.

The 51-year-old Biggest Loser host told TMZ he was left unconscious for two days after having a heart attack during a workout in New York.

Harper was at a gym two weeks ago when he collapsed and was taken to the hospital. He was hospitalized for eight days and has yet to be cleared by doctors to fly home to Los Angeles.

The Biggest Loser host said he is improving but limited to non-strenuous exercise like walking for the moment. He said his family has a history of heart attacks, including his mom, who died from the condition.

Harper has yet to address his health scare on social media, but alluded to the incident last week on Instagram. He posted a photo of a candle and called himself "lucky" in the caption.

"My word of the day... LUCKY," he wrote.

Harper served as a trainer on The Biggest Loser for 16 seasons before taking over as host in Season 17 following Allison Sweeney's departure. The NBC reality competition completed a 17th season in February 2016.

Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama have reportedly passed on Dancing with the Stars.

The former first ladies turned down the chance to compete on Season 24 of the ABC reality competition, according to the Mar. 6 issue of Us Weekly.

Sources told the magazine Clinton, 69, "said no" to producers interested in having the recent Democratic presidential candidate on the show. Obama, 53, who appeared on So You Think You Can Dance? in 2015, and singer Ashlee Simpson also reportedly passed.

Clinton has kept a low profile since Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election in November. Obama, meanwhile was spotted outside a SoulCycle gym Sunday in Washington, D.C., after leaving the White House in January.

Entertainment Tonight reported last week that actor Mr. T and Olympic gymnast Simone Biles will compete on the new season. New parents Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are among the returning pros.

"I'm definitely a little bit nervous, but I'm very excited to get back," Murgatroyd recently told Good Morning America.

Dancing with the Stars Season 24 will premiere Mar. 20 on ABC. Good Morning America will announce the official cast during its Mar. 1 episode.
