Saturday, November 30, 2013Hello Everyone...
You may not be aware of it, but there's a whole subculture dedicated to the lifestyle and art of steampunk. It refers to the ideals of the early 20th century, Victorian-Era industrialism. Steam-Powered Giraffe is one of the most well-known musical acts in the community.
Founded by a brotherly duo of classically trained performers, they don makeup, accessories and act as robot mimes while singing like a barbershop trio. They started humbly as street performers with their own brand of song and humor, and have enjoyed a well-deserved round of recognition in the YouTube era. This song is a catchy serenade entitled "Honeybee" and shows off a lot of their range.
